In my Ted Talk I want to have my Thesis be along the lines of how cancer effects the family dynamic. My goal of my Ted Talk is to inform people with information about cancer that you probably wouldn't know and show how the whole battle for my cousin started and then say how it affects the family.
The start of my Ted Talk would include the history and definition of cancer. I would also include all the different kinds of cancer, how it forms so they understand how it can happen to anybody, all the different things people can do to prevent It or limit themselves from it. I would show some visuals to make it easier to understand. I want to inform listeners about the treatments and give them some research on cancer coming back. I want to make sure people know how serious it can be and how cancer can affect people who didn't even know much information about the topic. I want to start slow and explain the basics about cancer so they know how it affects the people who battle this serious illness.
Next I want to share my family story. Have it be a narrative and take my listener to the moment that my cousin was in when she found out she had cancer. I want to go into more detail about the life of a cancer fighter. How each day for them is a battle. How one day it could be the best day of their lives to just sit around at home watching movies, and then another day they do the same exact thing and it just is a horrible say. Everything affects then differently day by day. I want to talk about how much of a battle it is to get healthy again it is and how the survivors life changes forever, even though they beat this small battle, the overall battle isn't over.
And in conclusion my ted talk was to inform listeners about cancer and how serious it can impact the family dynamic.
This outline is pretty broad and unorganized, so any comments or suggestions would be great!
