One of the Ted Talks we watched in class was spoke by a guy named Mike Rowe. Within this speech Rowe used the quote "If I'm wrong about this, what else am i wrong about?" Throughout the quote above, the speaker is using sarcasm to show that he is wrong and he is in disbelief. The way he perceived castrating a lamb along many others, was wrong. Doing it the dirtier and harder way is better in this situation. This quote makes you think deeply about everything you do, even the smallest things. It also makes you ponder about if its the right way to do something in a certain situation, and how it affects all living things and the environment. This quote makes me connect with another Ted Talk we watched in class. The author gives an example how in Great Britain, 97% of the people have a Electric Tea Kettle. She interprets if all the people who have electric tea kettles wouldnt use them for one day, all that electricity would light up a town for an hour. Little things as not using a electric tea kettle can save that much electric and do so much for another town. What other little things can we do differently that makes a huge impact?
