Follis.Jordyn.Blog4.

I really enjoyed all the Ted Talks and everybody did so well but I'm going to write this blog about Shaena's Ted Talk. I really enjoyed listening to her speech, she really caught my attention with what she was saying. Like at first in her introduction she drew me in to want to listen more about what she was saying, which is exactly what you want to do. Her delivery was very good! Her speaking was very smooth, it was the right speed and the perfect volume. I also really liked how she included her own personal experience with her poverty topic. She showed us lots of pictures which clicked my understanding better with what she was saying. The pictures she showed she compared what things were like here and what things are like in Kenya. They don't get electronics, vehicles, and toys like we do. She told us a story of how happy and a excited a middle age boy there was for getting a container of bubbles. If a middle age kid gets bubbles here, it's boring and not as excited. She showed with this little story how we aren't as appreciative for things then all the other people are for things they get. Here, we just expect it, there it is absolutely amazing to get anything to play with because there used to having to make or imagine there one toys and games. I really enjoyed hearing about her trip to Kenya and how poverty isn't always such a bad thing. Like we think we have it so bad here at times, but there they have it two hundred times worse and still are happy spirited. They never show through their personality or attitude how bad they really have it. The little things there mean the world to them, but aren't as meaningful here compared to them. It was really cool to here how she put the whole Ted Talk together. Her whole presentation was organized and easy to follow.
