Looking through the Gender lens, anyone who watches the Disney production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs can see that Snow White is an example of what a female is. From the very start you can see exactly what a women should look like by her clothes, she is wearing a pretty little dress with a bow in her hair and she is wearing grown up lipstick. Through the cinematic techniques the audience notices how Snow White possesses the stereotypical characteristics a women should maintain. Snow White is caring, gentle, extremely nurturing, wants things clean, and wants to find a prince who will love her. Snow Whites soft voice shows how caring and gentle she is. Her voice is also at a stereotypical women's pitch. It isn't a low scratchy sound, it is a high suprano pitch. The lighting encompassing Snow White brings out the warm yellow color of her clothes to give the entire atmosphere a calm feel to it. From the beginning of the movie it shows how all the animals in the woods trust and like Snow White. They surround her whenever she is outside. For example when she is sitting on the ground scrubbing the steps with soapy water, birds land on all the tree branches around Snow White and sing along with her. A stereotypical women is supposed to be gentle and sweet to everything around her. The animals trust Snow White so much, when she gets caught in a horrible situation they lead her straight to the seven dwarfs home. The first thing Snow White notices when she takes a step into the little cottage is how dirty it is. The audience is shown this my how the camera is being tilted all over the house showing the dirty dishes and dusty shelves. Snow White automatically   starts cleaning the entire house. Her actions show how her character is identical of how a stereotypical women should act.
